Here is a list, categorized by anime, where I collect screenshots taken from anime I have watched. I always found the background work in anime to be strangely alluring; while the foreground action and the characters themselves tend to be drawn in a streamlined fashion, backgrounds are often drawn like paintings: dreamy, lush, melancholy, evocative. It often happens that I have to stop to admire them.
